This past week I went to Wisconsin to visit with a friend of mine. While I was there I met two wonderful women that I blog with. Judy of
Three Red Beads and Lola of
Bead Lola Bead.
I flew into the Appleton, WI airport on Tuesday October 25th around 12:30pm and before I headed to Oshkosh, WI where my friend was, I visited this lovely little bead shop called
The Glass Onion Bead Store. This is what I purchased that day.
Silk ribbon, seed beads sizes 6, 8, and 11, a Jasper stone bead, ruby red crystal rondells, 3 big paper beads.

The next day I met up with Judy we had lunch at a deli in Appleton and then we went to Starbucks and had a Spiced Pumpkin Latte. I have never had one before and it was pretty good. We sat and drank our lattes and talked for a couple of hours. Judy is a lovely person with lots of ambition. Judy not only makes beautiful jewelry and paper beads, but she also makes soap. Since we were in Appleton I suggested that we go to the (you guessed it) Glass Onion Bead Store. Here is what I purchased.

I made Judy this bracelet and earrings. The bracelet is made with ruby red glass beads, moon stone rondells, hematite round beads, wavy bead caps and chain.
The earrings are made with boro glass beads and blue crystals
Judy gave me some beautiful Agate beads in different sizes and colors and two Lucite oval beads.
On Thursday I drove to Brookfield, WI where I met with Lola. Lola and I were partners in the Bead Soup Blog Party. We hit it off from the very beginning and it was so nice to meet her in person. We went to
Eclectica Bead store where they were having a 50% off sale on gem stones (my lucky day) This is what I purchased.
A Red River Jasper donut, three beaded beads one blue two gold, Santa and Snowman Beads, Jade beads, Carnelian beads, Rhondolite beads, Agate beads, bead caps, and a wooden carved rabbit bead ( I collect rabbits and Santas). I would not have the rabbit bead if it weren't for Lola asking if they had any beads with rabbits on them, yea Lola!
After leaving Eclectica Lola and I went to lunch where we got to know each other better. I very much enjoyed my visit with Lola she is a very funny and delightful person to be around. I discovered that we have more things in common one of which is that we were both born in November, not the same day or year though. I have but one regret, Lola had to leave to pick up her children and I forgot to get a picture of the two of us.
This is the gift I gave to Lola.
I made a bracelet with lampwork beads from Julianna of
Julsbeads , purple crystal rondells and silver tone base metal beads.
The earrings are made with the same lampwork beads and crystals.
I had such a great time with both Lola and Judy. I am planning on going to the Bead and Button show in June so I will see them both again.
