Hi Y'all,
It is week six of Sally Russick's Focusing on Life 52 photos challenge. This week's prompt was to photograph someone or something that says feel the love to you. Well I was going to go out to the Mall and people watch and maybe take a photo or two of couples in love or Mom's with their children or just friends having a good time, but I came down with a stomach bug and just did not have the time to go. So last night while I was watching a movie I looked over on my bed and low and behold love was looking me right in the face!
A
STUMP FOR A TAIL
You
can't buy loyalty, they say
I bought it though, the other day;
You can't buy friendship, tried and true,
Well just the same, I bought that too.
I made my bid, and on the spot
Bought love and faith and a whole job lot
Of happiness, so all in all
The purchase price was pretty small.
I bought a single trusting heart,
That gave devotion from the start.
If you think these things are not
for sale, Buy a brown-eyed puppy with
a stump for a tail.

Chewy Junior is the best $150.00 I have ever spent. I bought him from my local Animal Shelter. He is a Chihuahua mix, I think the father is either a Jack Russell or a Beagle.
Thank you for stopping by now go on by Sally Russick's blog and check out what the other's found to feel the love.
Happy beading Y'all,
Therese
Chewy Junior is such a cutie! I love his colors, but I would have picked him just because of his ears :-D Over the past 3 years, I have finally learned about a dog's love. My life is so much richer for it.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better, Therese!
A dog's love is unconditional. We never had one when I was growing up (apartment dwellers, with a no pet rule), but since my marriage, there has been at least one four legged member of the family, and would be missing something in my life, but not for them.
ReplyDeleteAwww, what a sweetheart! And what a great (and true) poem too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! the love in a dog's look...priceless!
ReplyDeleteChewy Junior is such a sweetie.... and what a wonderful poem. Our fur babies are just so much a part of our families.

ReplyDeleteAwwww! Therese, your Chewy Junior is so adorable. His eyes show his love and thankfulness for you rescuing him from the shelter. It is so funny how love is usually right in front of our face and sometimes we just have to take a moment to realize it. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Therese, he's just adorable!! I want to reach into my computer and just hug him! Definitely LOVE! Animals have that way about them, don't they?! Thanks for sharing the poem, too.
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable!:)
