I Heart Macro - Early Flowers

Hi y'all, well it is that time of the week again, yep, I heart macro Sunday!  So I have been noticing a lot of my Mom's flowers are blooming around her yard and you guessed it I had to take some pictures before the cold gets them tonight. It is suppose to be in the 20's with a wind chill in the teens. Alright all you Northerners quit snickering, this is Alabama and that is just too darn cold!

Forsythia (which normally blooms in late March early April)

more Forsythia

Daffodil  (late March early April)

Hyacinth ( late March early April also)

There was a very cold wind blowing while I was out taking these shots so I apologize that they are not all that good.  I just wanted to hurry up and get back in the house where it was warm.  If you would like to see more I heart macro shots head on over to Lori's blog at Studio Waterstone.

Have a great Sunday Y'all,
Therese

  6. I'm in Maryland, Therese, and we're freezing here too! We've had such a warm winter so far that a lot of our early flowers are blooming too. And, for here that is really unusual. But, your pictures are beautiful. Hope everything survives the freeze down there!

  11. My upstate New York mind cannot even fathom such thing in early February. Though I spotted daffodil sprouts last week. (about 5 weeks too early).
    Beautiful shots.

  16. I'm not snickering by ANY MEANS. I still live south of you and YES, it's been COLD here!! Of course, the warmth has made most of these flowers bloom and now my allergies are crazy! At least they're pretty to look at.
High winds or not, you got some really pretty shots!

  19. Beautiful pictures! I love Forsythia and had two bushes at our previous home, but haven't planted any here yet. We have Iris and Daffodils blooming here too. I'm not ready for Spring yet, but I worry that we'll have a cold snap and it will kill the pretty flowers.
