When I saw the blog post about this challenge I jumped right in. I enjoy making bracelets more than anything else. So since there is a whole heap of participants in this challenge blog hop I will make this post a short one.
My co-worker Keisha was kind enough to model my bracelets.
I have really been into tying square knots lately and all of these were fun and quick to make. I used leather, hemp, and waxed cotton to tie the knots and the beads are ceramic, glass, lamp worked glass by Susan Kennedy of suebeads (the third bracelet from the bottom) and Rosemarie of SpawnOfFlame beads (the forth bracelet from the bottom), and bling balls. I did not use a square knot slide clasp, instead I used lobster claw clasps.
I hope you enjoyed viewing my wrapped, stacked, and layered bracelet creations. Now hop on over to see what the other participants have created in the fun blog hop challenge.

ReplyDeleteTherese, these are great! They all flow together so well and make sense together. Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteOH what a beautiful stack of bracelets! I LOVE the look of knotting, and how you chose different elements for each piece. Very time consuming, I imagine...but the effect is totally stunning. I've had to go back and look at each one closely, I just love them all.
ReplyDeleteI love this style of bracelet. Great color combination.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Therese!!! These colors are great - I so wanted to try this but didn't have the time.Love the macrame!!! None of the boys would model for me either lol XOXO Beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteVery cool...I have been knotting a bit lately too...not as detailed as yours but I am working with the concept! :) It's fun - rather therapeutic! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove those knots!! Beautiful work Therese ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful variety based on one knotting technique. Really shows off the pretty beads.
ReplyDeleteTherese,
ReplyDeleteYour bracelets look so lovely stacked on top of one another. I've really got to work on my square knot skills. I used to make hemp bracelets all the time when I first started out, but it's been years since I've attempted them. Yours are so pristine-looking. I don't think mine ever looked that classy!
I absolutely love your bracelets! I have never worked with leather, hemp etc and they are just perfect for creating such beautiful bracelets. Love love love!
ReplyDeleteI like the colour combos of the fiber & beads
ReplyDeleteReally pretty colors in your stack Therese! I love the use of the leather with those beads. Macrame is so perfect for bracelets. Thanks so much for playing along and showing your work!
ReplyDeleteTracy
LOVE the macrame! I'm getting more and more into that trend.
ReplyDeleteI really like the square knot look. I've got to try that. I used to do macrame a hundred years ago, so I should be able to pull it off. ;)
ReplyDeleteTherese, your bracelets are gorgeous! I love the colors that you used. I really like the green bracelet, third up from the bottom. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteTherese, I love all of your bracelets. I love the knotting and macrame. You have really inspired me to try something new!
ReplyDeleteCute! Love the Blue colors.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue, green and orange. Great color choices. Love that you skipped the slide clasp for the lobster claw too.
ReplyDeleteTherese, I really love all your colors here! The Shamballa style bracelets are too much fun and yours are so refreshing - crips and bold, like a breath of fresh air!
ReplyDeleteWow--love the bracelets, love the colors, love the stacks! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI just love macrame and yours are so colorful and fun. Great summery stack!!

ReplyDeleteOOOH great colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work.
Those bracelets are great Therese! I love that technique but as I have been wrist challenged up to now I haven't tried that. I will have to get some hemp and see what will come of it! Thanks for sharing your stack!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day! Erin
Your stacks turned out beautiful Therese! I have hemp and linen cord but can't seem to get the knots squared up just right. But I do love the bright colors you came up with - great job!
ReplyDeleteTerraBeadworks

ReplyDeleteTherese, they look fantastic!!! I still haven't been able to wrap my head around squre knot, but I'm sure I'll get it soon!

ReplyDeleteI remember making bracelets like these back in the 70s when macrame was in vogue. I remember using red, white, and blue pony beads and yarn. Thanks for sparking a memory and your stacks are wonderful!
